Urologic Oncology Research Symposium

The AUA Office of Research is offering travel funds to subsidize a portion of travel and lodging costs associated with attendance to the 2017 Urologic Oncology Research Symposium: "Innovative Therapeutics for Personalized Medicine: From Cell and Protein Engineering to Novel Nanomedicines," to be held at the AUA Annual Meeting on May 12 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The applicant must be a student, trainee or early-career investigator within ten years of completing residency or postdoctoral training. Travel awards will range from $400 – $1,200 and the distribution of awards will be determined by the AUA Office of Research based on need, distance traveled and relevance of the applicant's research interests/activities to the symposium topic. Applicants should be aware that the distribution and amount of travel award funding is subject to NIH R13 grant support, the results of which will not be known until late-February.

Applications are not being accepted at this time, as NIH funding is still pending.


Basic Sciences Symposium

The AUA Office of Research is offering travel funds to subsidize a portion of travel and lodging costs associated with attendance to the 2017 Basic Sciences Symposium: "Function and Dysfunction of Stem Cells, Regeneration, and Repair in Urology," to be held at the AUA Annual Meeting on May 12 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

The applicant must be a student, trainee or early-career investigator within ten years of completing residency or postdoctoral training. Travel awards will range from $400 – $1,200 and the distribution of awards will be determined by the AUA Office of Research based on need, distance traveled and relevance of the applicant's research interests/activities to the symposium topic. Applications are now being accepted to allow the necessary time for application review, awardee notification, and travel arrangements. However, applicants should be aware that the distribution and amount of travel award funding is subject to NIH R13 grant support, the results of which will not be known until late-February.
